Who can become a member
A person is eligible to become a member of Yilka Talintji Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC if the person:
- is at least 18 years of age
- is a common law native title holder and descends from one of the apical ancestors
Apical Ancestors
A person is eligible to become a member if the person descends from one of the following apical ancestors:
Applicable ancestors are the starting point of Yilka family lines. They connect Yilka People to Country, culture, and community responsibilities.
How to become a member
A person becomes a member if the person:
- Completes a Membership Application Form and provides supporting documentation including photo identification;
- Applies to the Corporation in person at a General Meeting;
- is accepted as a Member by the Directors of the Corporation; and
- has their name entered on the Register of Members.
